Special Reading by Heid Erdrich
On Monday, November 21, from 7 - 8:30 p.m., author of Mother Tongue (2005) and co-editor of Sister Nations: Native American Women Writers on Community (2002) will be on campus for a special reading of her work in Lindell 301.
Heid is an accomplished poet and writer whose work has received awards from the Archibald Bush Foundation, the Loft Literary Center, the Minnesota State Arts Board, and the Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers. She holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Johns Hopkins University. Raised in Wahpeton, North Dakota and an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Ojibwe, she currently teaches English at the University of St. Thomas.
